Get up close and personal with some of the most fascinating plants in the world! Join us for our Carnivorous Bog Container Garden Workshop, where you’ll build your own miniature bog and learn all about the strange and captivating world of carnivorous plants.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll choose between creating an indoor or outdoor bog container garden, designed to mimic the natural habitat these unique plants call home. You’ll learn step-by-step how to plant and care for your bog garden – and go home with written care instructions to keep it thriving.
Workshop includes:
- Hands-on planting session with all materials provided
- Choice of three carnivorous plants for an indoor or outdoor bog garden
- Printed care instructions
- Q&A with carnivorous plants grower, Lyndon McCall of Nahunga Creek Tropicals
- ‘Thank you’ coupon for an in-store purchase
- Light refreshments
Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or curious beginner, this workshop is a fun and memorable way to explore the wild side of gardening.

Fee is $100/person; includes all necessary supplies, one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and a light snack.

*Cancellation Policy: All classes are non refundable. To receive a credit towards another class you must email at least 24 hrs prior. Canceling within the 24-hour window forgoes the ability to transfer your credit(s) to another class. Classes may be canceled by the garden center due to low sign-ups or inclement weather. A class that is canceled by For Garden’s Sake will receive a credit to be used within the current calendar year (2025).
