We are seeking events staff to help bring people together and turn our events into unforgettable experiences. We are a community-oriented retail garden center where families, friends, and neighbors gather to learn, celebrate, and make memories. We host everything from gardening classes and lively music nights to festive seasonal markets and intimate private events. Our events take place at the historic O’Kelly Chapel, within the retail Garden Center with the Potting Shed, and at the private Robin’s Nest events space. Joy is at the heart of what we do, and we need enthusiastic, professional, and highly organized people to help make each event truly special.
This is a part-time year-round position with irregular hours based on the events calendar, and will include a mix of afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Pay starts at $16/hour with weekly pay.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Event Preparation and Setup
- Assist with the physical setup of event spaces, including arranging tables and chairs, staging, decorating, and signage according to event layouts and specifications
- Verify and organize event materials, such as registration packets, promotional items, and necessary equipment
- Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all technical equipment (A/V, lighting, etc.) is functioning correctly
- Event Execution and Operations
- Manage incoming traffic, guide guests to designated parking areas, and transport guests to venue via golf carts as needed
- Greet and direct attendees, providing accurate information about the event schedule, venue layout, and facilities
- Manage registration and check-in processes efficiently, including handling ticketing and distributing materials as needed
- Provide bar service by serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests (Must be at least 18 years old. On-the-job ABC Server training required.)
- Monitor event areas to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety and address immediate issues or escalate as necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to attendee questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist speakers, vendors, and performers with any logistical needs
- Serve as crowd control, ensuring adherence to event rules and safety guidelines
- Post-Event Breakdown and Cleanup
- Efficiently break down the event space, including taking down tables and chairs, packing up equipment, and removing decorations and signage
- Assist with inventory of remaining materials and supplies
- Ensure the venue is left clean and in its original condition according to venue guidelines
- Provide feedback to Event Management on event execution and areas for improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in event support, hospitality, and/or customer service is a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

We are seeking an experienced Lawn Maintenance Landscaper to join our team. Our crew takes yards to the next level with skilled routine care and a passion for making landscapes look pristine. Crew members are hard working, team players, and work with integrity and professionalism.
This is a full-time year-round position paying $17-20/hour to start based on experience, with weekly pay. We offer paid time off and holidays; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; matching 401k; discounts at the Garden Center; and work-life balance. Advancement opportunities available as we continue to grow.
Work day is 7:00AM to variable end time. Work week is Monday – Friday and averages 40-50 hours with paid overtime; four day workweeks during high season. Saturday work is rare and we never work on Sundays or holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mow, trim, and edge turf and beds for an overall neat and tidy appearance
- Prune shrubs and maintain plant health
- Weed and care for plants in beds
- Blow leaves and brush from lawns, walkways, patios
- Mulch installation
- Seasonal aeration and seeding
- Small-scale planting and annuals installation
- Operate large machinery: trucks and trailers, ride-on and walk-behind mowers, etc.
- Operate handheld equipment: blowers, weed eaters, aerators/seeders, etc.
- Work closely with a team to produce a superior product that enhances our customers’ lifestyle
- Routinely interact with clients and crew members in a professional manner

We are seeking an experienced Lawn Maintenance Landscaper to lead an Enhancement Crew. This team takes yards to the next level with meticulous detail work and fine tuning, above and beyond routine lawn maintenance. Crew members are hard working, team players, and work with integrity and professionalism.
This is a full-time year-round position paying $20+/hour to start, with weekly pay. We offer paid time off and holidays; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; matching 401k; discounts at the Garden Center; and work-life balance. Advancement opportunities available as we continue to grow.
Work day is 7:00AM to variable end time (usually around 4pm). Work week is Monday – Friday and averages 40 hours with paid overtime. Saturday work is occasional as needed, and never any Sunday work.

- Technical and specific shrub trimming based on plant type and time of year
- Edge and trim beds, prune trees and shrubs, weed, spread mulch and pine straw
- Small-scale plant and annuals installation
- Some routine lawn maintenance: Mow grass, water lawns and flower beds, blow leaves and brush, aerate and seed
- Operate large machinery: trucks and trailers, ride-on and walk-behind mowers, etc.
- Operate handheld equipment: blowers, weed eaters, aerators/seeders, etc.

We are seeking experienced Installation Landscapers to join our team. Our crews take landscapes to the next level by bringing custom designs to life: planting gorgeous greenery, building beautiful custom paver and stone designs, installing irrigation and lighting, and everything in between. The ideal candidates have a passion for landscaping and are hard working, team players, detail-oriented, and work with integrity and professionalism.
This is a full-time year-round position paying $18-21/hour to start, with weekly pay. Work day is 6:55 AM to variable end time (usually around 4:30 PM) Monday through Friday. Work week averages 45 hours with paid overtime. Saturday work is rare and we never work on Sundays or holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
**NOTE: This is NOT a lawn maintenance role (no mowing, blowing, trimming, etc.)
- Plant shrubs, trees, flowers, and install sod
- Install and repair drainage, irrigation, landscape lighting, and other site amenities
- Assist with constructing hardscapes: stone & paver patios, retaining walls, edging, steppers, dry creek beds, etc.
- Operate large machinery (trucks/trailers, loaders, and dingos) and bed edgers, sod cutters, stone saws, etc.
- Routinely interact with clients and crew members in a professional manner

REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous experience in landscaping: planting, tree and hedge pruning, lighting, irrigation and drainage work
- Experience with irrigation and landscape lighting a plus
- Experience in masonry or hardscaping a plus
- Ability to operate equipment proficiently and safely
- Ability to perform physical work in outdoor conditions, both hot and cold

We are seeking a part-time mechanic to keep our equipment and our crews running. This person will work in conjunction with our full-time mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various landscaping machinery, equipment, and fleet trucks. Welding and/or fabricating experience a plus! The mechanics will work in a brand new covered garage, with built-in work benches and most of the necessary tools and equipment provided; some supplemental tools may be needed from the mechanics.
This is a part-time year-round position, with work weeks averaging 3 days and 20-25 hours. The specific days and hours are flexible and will be set on a recurring schedule upon hire; weekend day availability strongly preferred. Some schedule fluctuation through different seasons is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep equipment and machinery operating to its fullest by managing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing repairs
- Manage routine maintenance on fleet vehicles: oil changes, light repairs, etc.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on smaller equipment: blowers, trimmers, mowers, chainsaws, etc.
- Ideal candidate would also have welding and/or fabricating experience to repair trailer lights and hitches
- Assist with maintenance and repairs on heavy duty equipment as needed: skid steers, mini skid steers, mini-excavators, etc.
- Coordinate with outside vendors or shops for larger or specialized repairs as needed
- Perform daily preventative maintenance walk-through and catalog work orders
- Respond to routine and emergency service calls promptly
- Maintain appropriate service and repair records, and manage shop supplies
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have a valid driver’s license with no major MVR infractions
- Prior small engine mechanic experience
- Experience with repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines associated with landscape and lawn maintenance equipment
- Familiarity with brands such as Stihl, Toro, and Caterpillar
- Industry licensing and certifications a plus
- Welding/fabricating knowledge and experience a strong plus
- Able to safely lift and load up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work outdoors or in semi-climate controlled mechanic garage in all weather conditions and temperatures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both as a team or independently
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish bilingual a plus
- Tech savviness and willingness to learn new technology; experience with management software (specifically MaintainX) a plus
- Good business sense with professional demeanor and proactive sense of urgency
- Strategic problem solver, organized, and able to multitask and prioritize tasks
